Ruby Hearts

After seven years painting full time for Louis Vuitton in California, I formed my own company, Jeanine Anthony Designs, here in Amsterdam — in a new country, in a new language — and now I freelance for Louis Vuitton Benelux & Nordics. Everything feels a little different — new pace, new rhythm, same art.

To celebrate, I painted ruby hearts — tiny ones on my Louis Vuitton heels and a big one across the back of my Sandro leather jacket, bold and bright. The paint is Angelus — reliable and rich in color.

After years in uniform, I’ve started building a new work wardrobe. Something with more movement and a bit of fun. I know it’s a small thing to focus on, but for some reason it felt important.

The heart is a reminder to lead a life full of passion — wherever I am, whatever I’m doing.

Pink Clouds Over Amsterdam

The mornings here have a calm I’ve grown to love. For a city known for rain, Amsterdam still finds ways to surprise me — the light, the color, the quiet before everything begins.

Yesterday, the sky turned rose before the streets were awake. I took it as a reminder that life is beautiful, and I am lucky. Pink clouds have always felt like a treat from the universe.

That color keeps following me — in water cups, reflections, and paintings scattered across the table. I’ll paint it properly one day, but maybe it’s already finding its way into everything I do.

The light faded fast, as it always does. But it was enough to start the day grateful.
